Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH)

What is NASH?

​

This condition is defined by a build-up of fat in the liver, which causes liver damage and inflammation.

Study Purpose

Study purpose: To find out whether the study drug works and how safe it is in subjects diagnosed with NASH with liver fibrosis. It is hoped that the study drug will slow down the worsening of NASH and help improve disease symptoms.

Requirements

​

· 18 years of age or older

· You have been diagnosed with or have high likelihood of NASH with liver fibrosis.

· You are not already in another medical research study at any facility or have received medication in another medical research study within 30 days of this study participation.

Major Disqualifications

​

· Any other type of liver disease besides NASH

· Any suspected or proven liver cancer

· Can not be on current list for liver transplantation.

· History of cancer within the past 5 years

Study Appointment Schedule

 

During the study, you will visit the study center at least 10 times to complete some tests and assessments.

Study Medication

Designed to lower the fat and sugar levels in the blood

 

Duration

Approximately 68 weeks.
