Hernia Repair (Inguinal Hernia Repair/ Lap Hernia Repair)
What is a Hernia?
A hernia forms when an internal organ or tissue bulges through a weak area of muscle or tissue.
Study Purpose
To evaluate the effectiveness and length of time of pain control from a placebo or a saline.
Requirements

· Must be 18 years of age or older.
· Must be Interested in undergoing hernia surgery.
Major Disqualifications
​
· Has undergone 3 or more surgeries within
12 months.
· Has previously undergone inguinal herniorrhaphy (on either side) acceptions vary.
Study Appointment Schedule
Study screening visit, Check-in surgery date, Day 1 - after study treatment, Day 4 discharge day. Follow-up appointments.

Patient will remain in the hospital at least 72 hours after surgery. Patient will need to return to the research center on Day 7 (6 days after your surgery) and Day 30 (29 days after surgery.) Day 30 early termination day.
