Cardiovascular prevention

Inflammation helps protect the body, but too much can contribute to heart disease. In cardiovascular disease, certain immune signals can trigger ongoing inflammation, leading to higher levels of markers like C-reactive protein (CRP), which are linked to worse outcomes.

Study purpose

This new medication aim to reduce this inflammation by targeting these pathways, with CRP used to track how well they work.

Requirements

​​

  • Aged 18-65 years

  • Overall healthy or with controlled chronic conditions

  • This is for patients with obesity

​

Major Disqualifications​

  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Substance abuse

  • Uncontrolled chronic conditions

  • Diabetes mellitus

Schedule:

In-patient during 28 days, follow-up visit 1 week after and a call 1 month after discharge

Duration

May last up to 3 months including screening period, treatment and follow-up
