Liver Studies

Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) happens when there's a lot of fat cells in your liver. This can progress to chronic damage such as fibrosis and cirrhosis. Is associated to conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high triglycerides, and overweight.

Study purpose

We have a study to diagnose MASH and if you are on a stage that you require treatment we also have one clinical trial that is studying a new medication to treat it. 

Requirements

​​

  • 18 years of age or older

  • Risk of having MASH such as people with diabetes, hypertension, overweight or high triglycerides. 

​

Major Disqualifications​

  • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding

  • History of advanced liver disease

  • Substance abuse

  • Uncontrolled chronic conditions

  • Contraindications for imagining studies

Schedule:

Monthly visits (may vary depending on the study)

Duration

Depending if its to diagnose or treat might vary from 4 months - 1 year and 2 months, including screening process.
